Steven W. Whitt

Steven W. Whitt, President/Embalmer/Funeral Director

Steven is a Graduate of Elliott County High School in Sandy Hook, Kentucky and attended Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana where he received the Bill Pierce Award exuberating personal neatness, integrity and devotion to funeral service,.Steven has 2 sons Cody Matthew Whitt and Thomas “Tommy” Ardith Whitt where the business is named in their honor for many years to come. Mr. Whitt also serves as the Elliott County Coroner. In his spare time he avidly enjoys antiques, fishing locally, guns, and boating. Steven has been a General Class licensed Amateur Radio Operator for several years, he acts as Emergency Communication for Elliott County via Ham Radio in case of disaster and emergency. Being involved in the funeral home business from an early age he has seen lots of changes to funeral service, and is always eager to learn and fulfill any families request. Steven strives to make a difference everyday at the funeral home and in the community. In his own words..." There is no higher honor than people to ask me to care for their family at this time in their lives, people I've grown up with, acquaintances, church family, etc. my job is to be there for them during and after this terrible time. I love where I live and the people around me, I'm richly blessed with family and friends, and I'd say a man couldn't be any more thankful than that......."

Charles E. Sparks

Charles E. Sparks, Manager/Funeral Director Embalmer

Charles is a familiar face in the community and at the funeral home he graduated from Sandy Hook High School, he also served in the United States Army achieving excellent rank and character when he was honorably discharged. A graduate from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville, Kentucky. He formerly served Elliott County for many years as Elliott County Circuit Clerk, he spend several years working in the Kentucky Transportation Department as a hearing officer. He served many years as Secretary of Hepburn Lodge #576 F &AM in Sandy Hook holding that position for nearly 50 years. Charles is married to his wife Myrtle Gillum Sparks together they have one Charles "Chuck Sparks and his wife Annette, they have two grand-daughters; Amy Sparks and Rachel Sparks. He and his wife Myrtle enjoy going to church and traveling abroad. Charles has been a part of our community for many years assisting people in many ways during good and difficult times. We are proud to have him a part of our caring team and consider him a great asset in our legacy of helping families thru these times we are needed most.
