Wayne Fraley

Wayne Fraley age 87 of Isonville, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 25, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Fraley was born October 26, 1936, in Sandy Hook, Kentucky a son of the late Ralph and Monnie Ison Fraley. Wayne was a born-again Christian, and a founding member of Watson Enterprise Baptist Church for 66 years. He helped start the Sunday school program in the late 1960's, he and his wife Fern were always willing to do whatever they could to help with the church and church family. In 2008 they received a plaque from Watson Church for 50 years of dedication and service. In recent years he spent most of his days studying his Bible and listening to bluegrass gospel music. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and began his career in road construction for Ruth Brothers and worked for Addington Brothers in surface mining many years, ending his last working position at Green Valley Landfill. He loved spending time with his beloved wife Fern and all of his family, especially in recent years, he adored spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his loving wife of 62 years Fern Brickey Fraley, two sisters; Donna Fraley Kozee and Linda Fraley McGuire, and one brother; Larry Fraley. He is survived by two daughters; Vicki Howard (Stephen) of West Liberty, Kentucky, Debbie O'Hara (Darrell) of Isonville, Kentucky, five grandchildren; Melissa Butts (Jeremiah) of Georgetown, Kentucky, Douglas Howard (Erica) and Sarah Howard all of West Liberty, Kentucky. Matthew O'Hara (Amanda) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Nathan O'Hara (Heather) of Isonville, Kentucky. Two brothers; Jimmy Fraley (Wilma) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Garry Fraley (Carol Jo) of Springfield, Ohio. 9 great grandchildren; Lilly, Noah, Haley, Lizzy, Eli and Ella O'Hara, Judah and Jazmine Butts and Reagan Howard along with a host of extended family, friends, and church family who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Watson Enterprise Baptist Church with Bro. Toby Roe and Bro. Larry Dale Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralph Fraley Cemetery on Middle Fork. Friends may visit from 6:00 till 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
