Shuavon Prewitt

Shuavon Stevens Prewitt age 68, of Elkfork, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 16, at UK St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky. Mrs. Prewitt was born in West Liberty, KY on December 8, 1956, a daughter of the late Mary "Tiny" Ellen (Turner) and Linville Dee Stevens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years April 08, 2016, Vencil Dale Prewitt. One brother Linville Franklin Stevens, and one stepbrother; Bruce Cobb. Shuavon was a woman of remarkable strength, grace, and unwavering faith. For many years, she dedicated her professional life to Pamidia West Liberty, where she served as a Department Manager. Her diligent work ethic was complemented by her talent as a skilled housekeeper, a testament to her dedication and attention to detail. Beyond her professional life, Shuavon found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She possessed a green thumb, nurturing vibrant gardens and meticulously crafting many things. Kayaking provided her with a sense of peace and tranquility, and she cherished the time spent in nature. Most importantly, her family was the center of her world. She delighted in spending time with her loved ones, creating memories that will forever be treasured. Surviving family members; two daughters, Tonya (James) Adkins, of Elkfork, KY and Misty (Bucky) Gay of Winchester, KY; a sister; Frances Adkins, of Elkfork,Ky; two stepsisters, Joyce Stevens, of Elkfork,Ky; Karen Edsell, of Huntington Beach, CA. One Step bro; David Cobb of Springfield, Ohio, three grandchildren; Jacob Adkins, Hannah Privett, and Kyle Gay, three great grandchildren; Levi, Aspen, Kenzley along with a host of extended family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, February 20th at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home Inc. 1260 North Ky 7 Sandy Hook, KY 41171 Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM on Friday, February 21st at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Sandy Hook, KY with Jeff Adkins and Tim Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Stevens Cemetery at Elkfork, KY. Serving as pallbearers are Rob Wright, Jamie Prewitt, Jacob Adkins, Kyle Gay, Michael Adkins, James Adkins and Bucky Gay.
