Roberta Lee Whitley

Roberta Lee Whitley age 69, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Roberta was born August 04, 1952 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Delmer and Juanita Adkins Hay. In addition to her parents she is proceded in death by her loving husband John Finland Whitley Jr.. Roberta loved to crochet and made for all of her family beautiful afghans and other keepsakes they will cherish forever. She also enjoyed talking on the phone and made her calls each day to her loved ones. That is one thing her family will miss most, is seeing her number pop up and hearing her voice, knowing that if they hadn't heard from her, that something was wrong. The love she felt for her grandkids was unmeasurable, she worried about each and everyone of them, and she loved them unconditionally. She left behind so many broken hearts that will never be replaced. She is survived by two sons: Jackie Dean Whitley (Kimberly) of Isonville, Kentucky, Billy Joe Whitley (Johnna) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky,three daughters; Kristi Scripter (Brian) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Brandi Fultz (Rodney) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Sandra Thornsberry (Paul) of Isonville, Kentucky, two brothers; Mike Hay (Kathy) of Isonville, Kentucky, Wayne Hay (Debbie) of Martha, Kentucky, two sisters: Carolyn Waits and Jackie Hutchinson (Tim) both of Isonville, Kentucky, thirteen grandchildren; Samantha Childers (Nick), Emily Whitley, Jack Whitley (Sierra), Jacob Whitley (Savannah), Jon Alexander Whitley, Jayce Whitley, Caden Whitley, Brier Whitley, Blake Fultz (Randi), Jadyn Fultz (Justin), Jazzi Whitley (Aaron), Zackary Thornsberry, Natasha Thornsberry, nine great grandchildren,a special Aunt Loena Hay, along with a host of family and friends whom will sadly morn her passing. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Whitt & Sons Chapel with Brother David Webb Officiating. Burial will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetary in Elliott County, Kentucky. Friends may visit Tuesday, October 19, 2021 after 6:00 p.m. at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home and after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers; grandchildren. Serving as honorary pallbearers; great grandchildren.
