Ova Arlen Boggs

Ova Arlen Boggs, age 84, of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Boggs was born August 01, 1939 in Elliott County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Willie and Gracie Roe Boggs of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Ova was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He was a mechanic, he liked working with his hands. His main goal in life was helping people. He had a heart of gold and enjoyed fishing, working in the woodshop, cookouts, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he is proceded in death by two brothers; Frank Boggs, Glenwood Boggs, two sisters; Flora Boggs Leadingham and Lorene Boggs Branham. He is survived by his wife of 29 years; Betty Fitchpatrick Boggs, one son; Gregory Thomas Boggs (Tammy) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, two daughters; Regina Howard (Adam) of West Liberty, Kentucky, Ashly Royse (Chris) of Georgetown, Kentucky, one step daughter; Michelle Jordan of Morehead, Kentucky, four brothers; David Ray Boggs, Kenneth Boggs, Willie Jr. Boggs, Carmel Boggs, one sister; Yvonne Boggs all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, seven grandchildren; Megan Danielle Abner (Mike), Morgan Dawn Boatwright (Steven), Aaron Ray Boggs, Makayla Grace Tussing (Ryan), Alyssa Faith Howard, Jasmyn Nichole Stephens, Westyn Grant Stephens, two step grandchildren; Gabriel Moore, Tila Moore, along with a host of extended family and friends whom will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, Kentucky with Bro. Elijah Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Boggs Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Friends may visit at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 at Whitt & Sons Funeral Chapel and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024 until the hour of service. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Boggs, Ryan Tussing, Adam Howard, Stevie Stevens, Brian Branham, and Chris Royse. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Glennis Blankenbeckler, Larry Branham, Darby Branham, Chris Branham, Westyn Stephens, Garland Carter, Lee Caskey, and Donald Ison.
