Michael Allen Fannin

Michael Allen Fannin age 70 of Isonville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March19, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Fannin was born August 28, 1952 at West Liberty, Kentucky a son of the late Buster and Alma Barker Fannin. Michael was a humble Christian and a member of the Wallowhole Independent Church. He leaned on and trusted in his Lord and Savior during his battle of cancer. He never once complained and always had a smile on his face. Michael graduated from Sandy Hook High School in 1969 at the age of 16. He labored hard for many years and always provided for his family. In 2017 he retired to take care of his precious wife after she suffered a massive stroke. His family meant the world to him. Michael had a passion for hunting and fishing with his son Donnie and granddaughter Reliegh. They would clean the lake out every time. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a special little grandbaby; John Michael Lee Fannin. Father and Mother in law; June and Lorene Lewis. Two brother in-laws; Roger Lewis and Ronald Lewis. A special granddaughter Sheila. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 51 years; Patty Lewis Fannin, one son and daughter; Donnie and Elisha Fannin, one granddaughter who was his whole world and was so very proud of Reliegh N'Shell Fannin (Baby Doll) all of Isonville, Kentucky. His little fur-grandbaby and sidekick; Co Co La'Dawn. Four special girls; Pamela Laney, Aubrie Laney, Preslie Laney, and Alyssa Riggs whom "Pappy" took in as his own. One brother; Mark Fannin (Tammy) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Three sisters; Vicky Riffe (Bob) of Webbville, Kentucky, Debbie Skaggs (Roger) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Leah Gillium (Clay) of Morehead, Kentucky. One brother in law; Rodney Lewis and a host of extended family and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Whitt & Sons Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Paul Skaggs and Bro. Dwayne Laney officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook. Friends may visit after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers; Donnie Fannin, Mark Fannin, John Paul Skaggs, Dwayne Laney, Nathan Lewis, Jeff Lowe, and Shannon Ison. Serving as honorary pallbearers are; Rodney Lewis, Josh Lewis, Bob Riffe, Clay Gillium, Roger Skaggs, and Tracey Laney.
