Margaret Sue Lemaster Lewis

Margaret Sue Lemaster Lewis age 76 of Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky. Mrs. Lewis was born February 26, 1947 at Louisa, Kentucky a daughter of the late James "Jim" and Ruth Childers Lemaster. Sue was a Christian and a member of Concord Enterprise Baptist Church for many years, she was a homemaker and loved cooking for her family, spending time with the grandkids, and singing in church for the Lord. Her life was a testament of how firm she was in her faith and the love she showed to her family and everyone around her was truly an example of a wonderful Christian woman. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son; James Edwin "Eddie" Lewis, two sisters; Sharon Preece and Debbie Proffitt. She is survived by her faithful husband of sixty years; Burl Edwin "Ed" Lewis, one daughter and son in-law; Sherry and Allen Lee Howard, two sons and daughter in-law; Timothy Milford Lewis, Billy and Tonya Lewis all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. One sister and brother in-law; Linda and Les Preece of Louisa, Kentucky. Ten grandchildren and their spouses; Ashley and Joseph Bowling, Adam and Erin Howard, Zachary and Emily Lewis, Shannon and Travis Barker, Brandon and Jessica Lewis, Natasha and Tyler Pryor, Cameron Lewis, Emma Lewis, Whitney and Casey Cantrell, and Travis Lewis. Fourteen great grandchildren; Harvey and Avery Lewis, Peter and Jude Bowling, Landon, Allie and Emma Lewis, Layla Raelynn, and Ensley Barker, Oliver and Olivia Pryor, Sawyer and Declan Cantrell, one daughter in-law; Faye Lewis along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and many friends who will sadly mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. December 22, 2023 at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with Bro. Ricky Lewis and Bro. Rodney Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery on George Johnson Loop Rd. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m Thursday, December 21, 2023 and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers are; Adam Howard, Zachary Lewis, Travis Lewis, Casey Cantrell, Cameron Lewis, and Brandon Lewis.
