Juanita Hay

Juanita Adkins Hay age 84 of Isonville, Kentucky passed away April 01, 2020 at the ARH in West Liberty, Kentucky. Mrs. Hay was born June 07, 1935 in Elliott County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Hobert and Gracie Barker Adkins. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Delmar Hay of 60 blessed years. Juanita is also preceded in death by a twin sister Wanda Lee Laney of Ashland, Kentucky and one brother; Bobby Smith; two sons in-law; Terry Waits and John F. Whitley, also a very special aunt Lacey Barker. Juanita was retired from the Elliott County Board of Education where she was employed as a school bus driver, she enjoyed quilting, adult coloring books, watching basketball games with family, the Bachelor, and most importantly she was always took time to enjoy her family. She was a Christian and a member of Newcombe Valley Enterprise Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters and son in-law; Roberta Whitley of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Carolyn Waits of Isonville, Kentucky, and Jackie and Tim Hutchinson of Isonville, Kentucky. Two sons and daughters in-law; Mike and Kathy Hay of Isonville, Kentucky, and Wayne and Debbie Hay of Mazie, Kentucky she is also survived by one brother and sister in-law; Darrell and Debbie Brickey of Ashland, Kentucky.Two sisters; Joy Wilburn of Wurtland, Kentucky and Judy Jenkins of Ironton, Ohio. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren whom she adored and loved spending time with.Thirty-four great grandchildren, and twenty great-great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews who will sadly mourn her passing. Due to Covid-19 requirements set forth by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, a private family service will be held Saturday, April 04, 2020 at Elliott County Memory Gardens with Bro. Mike Adkins officiating. Serving as pallbearers; Zeb Burke, Brier Whitley, Joe Hay, Phillip Hay, Mikey Hay, Blake Fultz. Serving as honorary pallbearers are; Tim Hutchinson, Kenneth Laney, Jason Sexton, Alvin Gilliam, Taylor Burke, Brian Scripter, and Danny Laney. Whitt & Sons in charge of arrangements.
