Glenna Skaggs Boggs

Mrs. Glenna May Skaggs Boggs age 77 of George Johnson Loop Road, Sandy Hook, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 09, 2016 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born June 24, 1938 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Jim and Lula Bell Lewis Skaggs. Glenna was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend to so many who loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lowell Boggs; one son, Donald Davis Boggs, one daughter, Thena Lynn Boggs; three brothers, Edward Skaggs, Johnny Skaggs and Martin Skaggs; three sisters, Edna Lee Skaggs, Juanita Thomas and Jean Jones. Glenna is survived by three daughters and two son-in-laws, Debbie and Perry Maggard, Jody and David Maggard, Lisa Wright, all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one step son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sandy Hall of Morehead, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) Maggard, Nathan (Aleshia) Maggard, Derik (Sarah) Griffith, Amy (Isiah) Young, Nicole (Zach) Mayse, Katrina, Joseph (Brianna) Maggard, Sarah (Jason) Vivian, RhiAnna (Justin) Cristello; nineteen great grandchildren; three sisters and two brother-in-laws, Lena Sloas of Webbville, Kentucky, Myrtle and Ronnie Martin of Morehead, Kentucky; Wathena and Glen Boggs of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Chapel in Sandy Hook with Brother Ricky Lewis and Brother Ennis Lewis Jr officiating. Burial will follow in the Boggs Family Cemetery in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. on Thursday until the service hour. Pallbearers: Brian Maggard, Nathon Maggard, Joseph Maggard, Zack Mayse, Isiah Young, Michael Dickerson and Darrell Boggs. Honoary Pallbearers: Perry Maggard, David Maggard, Derik Griffith, Robert Hall, Glen Boggs, Ronnie Martin, all brother-in-laws, and nephews and a host of family and friends who will sadly miss her.
