Elvia Lewis

Elvia Moore Lewis age 91 of T. Skaggs Road, Olive Hill, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Monday, October 24, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Lewis was born February 06, 1925 in Elliott Co, Kentucky a daughter of the late Walker and Tiny Eldridge Moore. Elvia was a Christian and a homemaker, she loved to quilt and raise her flowers, and spending time with her family. She was loved and cherished very much she will be missed by her family and many friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years whom she wed July 03, 1946, Rulie Lewis. Two sons; Billy Lewis, and Keith Lewis. Two daughters; Bonnie Prewitt and Joyce Harmon. Four grandchildren; Billy Lewis, (twins) Sara and Sally Lewis, and Fred Randolph. One great- grandson; Hayden Randolph. Two brothers; Ralph Moore, Elmer Moore, One sister: Blanche Adkins, Two half brothers; Ellis "PeeRat" Moore, and L.C Moore. One half sister; Dixie Riley. She is survived by her family of; Four sons and their spouses; Sherman ( Cindy) Lewis of Versailles, Ohio, Curtis Lewis, James (Brenda) Lewis, Mark (Kimberly) Lewis all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Three daughters and their spouses; Betty Sue Lewis, Janet (Eugene) Randolph, and Ruth (Bill) Randolph all of Olive Hill, Kentucky. 36 grandchildren, 88 great- grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. One daughter in-law; Kathy Lewis of West Liberty, Kentucky and one son in-law; Mosie Prewitt of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Half Siblings; Mary Lou Ingram, Jewel Graham, Glenn Moore, Joe Moore, Scott Moore, and Bob Moore.along with a host of extended family and friends who will sadly mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Elijah Wagoner and Bro. Eugene Haney officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers; Billy Harmon, David Randolph, Joseph Randolph, Jamie Prewitt, Tony Lewis, and Billy Shepard. Honorary Pallbearers; Her sons and her many grandchildren and Eugene Randolph, Bill Randolph.
