Devon Stafford

Devon Charles Stafford, age 28, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky was born to loving and devoted parents David and Lisa (Moore) Stafford. Devon sadly departed this Earth on May 20, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by his family who he held very dear to his heart. Devon had finally found his soulmate, the one who caused him to gleam with pride. He was a devoted husband to his wife Rebecca as well as a proud father to his son Bentley. Devon lived his life to its fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and could usually be found with at least one of them. The bond Devon had with his older sister Danisha was unmatched. He would spend numerous days at her house spending time with her, his brother-in-law Brian and his precious nephews Zander and Glennon who he was so proud of that he never failed to talk about or bring gifts to spoil them. On most Sundays he would be found teeing off on the golf course with his best friend Patrick Moore. He also enjoyed spending weekly game nights with his friends. He also loved to spend time riding on his Harley. Growing up Devon had a lot of friends and cousins whom he played and spent time with, but there were two cousins who he and his sister had a special bond with. Devon, Danisha, Travis and Whitney were basically inseparable from the time they were big enough to play together. The four would spend every day and night together their parents would allow. As they grew up and graduated high school those gatherings unfortunately were less than they would like, however no matter what happened they were with one another when it counted. Devon was a Journeyman Carpenter for Baker Concrete Construction and a member of Carpenters Local 200 out of Columbus, Ohio. Devon was survived by his wife Rebecca (Holbrook) Stafford, his son Bentley (Holbrook) Stafford, three sisters, Danisha Lundsten and Brian Lundsten. Jaylen Merideth, and Nevaeh Stafford. Two Brothers, Joseph Stafford and Isaac Stafford. Maternal Grandparents Arlie Ray and Mary (Barker) Moore, his paternal grandmother Sharon (Kemplin) Stafford, one uncle Johnny and Jennifer (Bowling) Stafford, and one newborn nephew; Emmet Charles Merideth. Devon is proceeded in death by his paternal grandfather; Charles Franklin Stafford, an infant aunt; Angela Stafford, paternal great grandparents; Demetrius and Jewel Kemplin, paternal great grandparents; John and Sarah Stafford, maternal great grandparents; Everett and Minnie Barker, maternal great grandparents; Elijah and Arizona Moore. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Whitt & Sons Chapel with Bro. Elijah Wagoner, Bro. Charles Ray Barker, Bro. Johnny Moore, Bro. Justin Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Stafford - Lundsten Family Cemetery in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 and Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers are Danisha Lundsten, Brian Lundsten, John Harper, Travis Lewis, Patrick Moore, Tim Simmons, Eugene Mofford, Greg Adkins. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Blake Fultz, Zander Lundsten, Glennon Lundsten, Bentley Stafford, Johnny Stafford, Joseph Stafford, Isaac Stafford. Devon's family would like to thank each and every person who has reached out in this difficult time and let every one know their thoughts and prayers have been greatly appreciated.
