Wilburn "Webb" Adkins

Wilburn “Webb” Adkins, age 72 of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, went to his heavenly home, Friday, March 8, 2019, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence, in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Webb was born on January 28, 1947 in Elliott County, Kentucky. A son of the late Richard and Cleffie Gilliam Adkins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the mother of his two children, Goldie Adkins. Also, two brothers, Leonard Adkins and Roger Lewis and two sisters, Elta Muse and Mavis Stevens. Webb enjoyed fishing and playing musical instruments. He was a member of the Wells Creek Enterprise Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and Savior and was ready to go to his eternal home and would want all of his family and friends prepare to meet him there. Webb is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Ruby Smith Adkins, his two daughters, Teresa Adkins of Sandy Hook, Ky., and Michelle Stamper of Morehead, Ky. , and one son, Jerry Adkins of Sandy Hook, Ky. He has two step-children; Dewayne & wife Teresa Moore and Tina Moore, both of Sandy Hook, Ky., one brother, George & wife Joyce Adkins of West Liberty, Ky. Webb has five grandchildren; Jessica Skaggs, Brandon Elam, Kelsey & husband Kyle Burnett, Jordan Barker, Ethan Moore and Lincoln Stamper. He has two great-grandchildren, Addalyn and Gabriel Burnett. Webb has a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who dearly loved him and he will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in the chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, Kentucky with Brothers Tim Hamilton and Jason Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery on Middle Fork Road in Elliott County, Ky. Friends may visit 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, in the chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Timmy Stevens, Bobby Adkins, Tony Adkins, Jordan Barker, Hobie Muse, Brandon Elam, Ronald Dale Stevens, Ethan Moore. Honorary Pallbearers are Manual Napier, Cecil Smith, Darrell Barker, Dean Fannin, Larry Howard. ,
