Ruby Ison Whitt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ruby Ison Whitt age 84 of Elliott Co, Kentucky formerly of Ashland, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Whitt was born August 06, 1937 in Elliott County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Orville and Audrey Dale Lewis Ison. Ruby was a Christian of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Her joys were spending time with her precious family and many friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers; Ishmael Ison and Phillip Ison, two sisters; Janice Blevins and Sharon Brickey. She is survived her her devoted husband of 67 years; James Whitt of Elliott County, Kentucky, children and spouses; Gloria and Billy Queen, Russell and Kim Whitt, David Whitt, Patricia “Trisha” and Tom Leach all of Ashland, Kentucky. Two brothers; Raymond Ison of Elliott County, Kentucky and Lester Ison of Xenia, Ohio. Ten grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends who will sadly mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday June 15, 2022 at the Stark Independent Church with Brother Brian Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
