Roy Porter Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roy Porter age 42 of Rush, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born February 13, 1977 in Ashland, Kentucky a son of Thomas Porter and Wanda Eldridge Porter of Webbville, Kentucky. Roy was a mechanic, he enjoyed Kayaking, fishing, working on cars, cruising around and listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Russell and Mary Eldridge, paternal grandparents: Gomez and Molly Porter, one niece: Kara Branham, one special uncle Roy Eldridge, and a host of aunts and uncles. Roy is survived by his parents: Thomas and Wanda Porter of Webbville, Kentucky, his loving wife of 15 years Melissa Wienczak Porter of Rush, Kentucky, one son: Gordon Thomas Porter of Rush, Kentucky, three brothers: Thomas J. (Angie) Porter of Webbville, Kentucky, Sam Porter of Webbville, Kentucky, Kevin Porter of Lewis County, Kentucky, two sisters: Vergia (Tim) Branham of Webbville, Kentucky, Martha Porter of Webbville, Kentucky, along with a host of family and friends that will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Victory Christian Center on Route 486 with Brother David Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Porter Family Cemetery on 1612 Brushy Creek Road. Friends may visit after 1:00 Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Victory Christian Center. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Wagoner, Timmy Branham, Tim Branham, Aaron Wienczak, Jason Hunt, Jeff Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be: Sam Porter, Travis Mathews, Ray Morris.
