Jalina Fannin Fields age 99 of Sandy Hook passed away Sunday October 13, 2019 at the Elliott County Nursing and rehab Center in Sandy Hook. Mrs. Fields was born January 20, 1920 in Elliott County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Dutch and Lena Wagner Fannin. Jalina was a homemaker and of the Christian faith, she was employed at the Frosty Freeze for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by Her first husband Estil Fetters; her second husband; Henry Thomas Fields whom she was wed to for 54 years. One daughter; Emily Fetters. One son; Chester D. Fetters. One granddaughter; Linda Simmons. four sisters; Hazel Burton, Carrie Markwell, Eva Mcgennis, Georgie Fannin. Two brothers; Fred Fannin, Johnny Fannin; two son-in-laws; Jack Simmons, Mickey Simmons. She is survived by her six children; Lena Simmons of Lexington, Kentucky, Perlina Gay (Glen David) Creech of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Audrey (Dale) Kemplin of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Billy (Pam) Fields of Wilder, Kentucky, Lou Simmons of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Junie (Pat) Fields of Louisa, Kentucky. Nineteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Jalina will be sadly missed and loved dearly by her children and everyone that knew her. Rest in Peace Sweet Mommy. Gone to be with God. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Whitt & Sons Funeral Chapel with Brother Tim Porter officiating. Burial will follow at the Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at Whitt & Sons.
