Jack Maggard

Jack Maggard age 74 of Route 504, Elliott County, Kentucky passed away Thursday October 20, 2016 at the Elliott Nursing & Rehab. Jack was born June 18, 1942 in Elliott County, Kentucky a son of the late Elisha and Jewell Whitt Maggard. Mr. Maggard was a construction worker and a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed grouse hunting, fishing, trap shooting and spending time with his many friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Jean Lawson Maggard, one son and daughter-in-law: Daryl (Andrea) Maggard of Olive Hill, Kentucky, two brothers: James Maggard, Johnny Maggard of Olive Hill, Kentucky, two sisters: Eliza Skaggs, Glenna Markwell of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and two very special grandchildren that he loved dearly: Kiana Maggard and Derek Maggard both of Olive Hill, Kentucky along with a host of family and friends that will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home with Brother Rick Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitt Cemetery on Skaggs Flat Road. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, and from 9 a.m. until the service hour Sunday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Blankenbeckler, Kevin Blankenbeckler, Roger Markwell, Chris Smith, Wayne Barker, Ben Markwell.
