Emma Katherine Adkins

Emma Katherine Adkins age 63 of Ashland, KY passed away Thursday, November, 16 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Ky. She was born July 16, 1954 at King's Daughters hospital in Ashland, KY a daughter to Ola Marie Sergent Pennington and the late William Cecil Pennington. Emma was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Bible Missionary church in Ashland, KY. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her husband, children and many other family and friends. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by one son; Stephen Adkins one cousin; Larry Bradford one sister-in-law; Vicky Hoffman one nephew; Timothy Jordan and both her maternal and paternal grandparents. In addition to her mother and husband she is survived by two sons; Milford Adkins and William Adkins both of Ashland, KY one daughter; Sarah (Bill) Akers of Ironton, OH one brother; George (Kathy) Pennington of Ashland, KY two cousins; Jane (Kenny) Bradford of Ashland, KY and Patricia (Bruce) Bradford of OH three grandsons; Johnathen Adkins, Andrew Adkins, and Trace Akers two granddaughters; Arron Mickalls and Tiffany Akers four sister-in-laws; Joyce Naver, Patty Bell, Dottie Jordan, and Sandy Molitor and a special friend; Amy (lyle) Henderson along with a host of family and friends who will sadly mourn her passing. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m.Tuesday, November, 21 at Crum cemetery in Hitchens, KY with brother Charles Rice officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
