Earl Ray Adkins, age 48 of Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Adkins was born April 11, 1963 in Morgan County, a son of the late Dewey M. and Ella Mabry Adkins. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Infant Paul Adkins, Medford Adkins Jr., and James Roger Adkins. Earl was a farmer. He is survived by three brothers and sister-in-law, Gary Adkins of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, David and Berneaze Adkins of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Ronnie Adkins of Salyersville, Kentucky; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Mary Hammons of Elkfork, Kentucky, Norma and Amos Salyers of Morehead, Kentucky, Rebecca and Danny Williams of Salyersville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011 in the Chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, Kentucky with Brother Jason Ison and Brother Michael Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins-Spencer Cemetery on Wells Creek in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Darren Fannin, S.D. Wright, Billy Conley, Jason Stephens, James Henry Lewis, Danny Williams, Mark Lewis and Johnathan Garland will serve as pallbearers. Danny Moore, Shamel Whitt, Lou Whitt, JB Cox, Thurman G.
