Scott Moore

Scott Genus Moore, age 79, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky departed this life for his Heavenly home on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. Scott was born May 13, 1942, at Middle Fork, Kentucky, the son of the late Walker and Clesta Lewis Moore. In addition to his parents, he is proceded in death by six brothers; Elmer, Ralph, Ellis, L.C., Claude, and Roger, five sisters; Dolly, Elvia, Blanche, Dixie, and Mary Lou. Scott was a Christian and a longtime member of the Middle Fork Independent Church. His Greatest joys in life were attending church, listening to gospel music and spending time with his family and friends. He was well loved by all who knew him, and that love was returned wholeheartedly. If you were blessed to know and love him, you know how fiercely he gave his love in return. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly five years, Etta Stephens Wright Moore; four sons and their wives, Scottie and Jessica Moore of Troy, Ohio, Anthony and Wendy Wright, Kevin and Crystal Wright, Royce and Stephanie Wright all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren; Evan, Noah, and Lila Moore, Kelsey and husband Jered Stevens, Melody, Brittney, Orianna, Levi, Hannah, Macee, Jaylynn and Gage Wright, three great grandchildren; Lyndsey and Remington Stevens and their baby sister Mackenzie who is due in August, three brothers; Glen Moore and wife Jean of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Joe Moore and wife Laura of Dayton, Ohio, and Bob Moore of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, one sister; Jewell Graham and husband Charles of Waynesboro, Virginia, his lifelong best friend who is like a brother; Frank Hutchinson of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Whitt & Sons Chapel with Bro. Russell Moore and Bro. Jackie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephens - Wright Cemetery in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may visit 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Whitt & Sons Chapel and after 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 until the service hour at Whitt & Sons Funeral home in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Pallbearers are Anthony Wright, Kevin Wright, Royce Wright, Jered Stevens, Ronnie Moore, Wayne Moore, Ricky Adkins, and Justin Ingram. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Hutchinson, Glen Moore, Joe Moore, Bob Moore, nephews and all of his many friends.
