Nora Sharon Skaggs

Nora Sharon Crawford Skaggs, age 80, of Isonville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky surrounded by all her loved ones. Mrs. Skaggs was born May 12, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio a daughter of the late Roy Edward and Shirley Vivian Bates Crawford Skaggs. Sharon was a Christian of the Baptist faith and a member of Watson Enterprise Baptist Church. She was retired from Elliott Nursing & Rehabilitation in Sandy Hook where she proudly served as the Activities Director for several years. She enjoyed attending church and serving the Lord, going to camp meetings with her husband Kenneth and camping, spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and those nearest and dearest to her soul. She was caring and had a heart full of gold, one who had a love for everyone she met. Her greatest accolade is the testimony she left for her family and friends to know she is now in the presence of Jesus. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother; Terry Bates Crawford. She is survived her devoted loving husband of sixty-two years; Kenneth James Skaggs of Isonville, Kentucky, two sons and daughter in law; John Carson and Rhonda Skaggs of Fayetteville, Ohio, Kenneth Edward Skaggs of Demossville, Kentucky, two daughters and sons in-laws; Debbie and Joe Salyers of Isonville, Kentucky, Robin and Shayne Ison of West Liberty, Kentucky, one sister in-law; Mary Dean Crawford of Felicity, Ohio, grandchildren; Heather Salyers, Sarah Jo Gilliam (Jordan), Tyler Skaggs (Jessica), Aaron Skaggs (Shelbi), Michael Skaggs (Morgan), Jacob Skaggs, Nicholas Salyers, Kayla Garvin (Robbie), Kurstyn Shay Ison, Elisha Ison, great grandchildren; Eli Boggs, Brooklyn Gilliam, Ellie Skaggs, Everett Skaggs, Gabriella Skaggs, Ezra Skaggs, Evelyn Skaggs, Everly Skaggs, Elias Garvin, along with a host of many nieces, nephews, family, church family and friends whom will sadly mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 at Whitt & Sons Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Dale Ison and Bro. Mike Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024, and after 10:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers are Tyler Skaggs, Aaron Skaggs, Michael Skaggs, Jacob Skaggs, Nicholas Salyers, Elisha Ison, Eli Boggs, Robbie Garvin, and Jordan Gilliam. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Everett Skaggs, Ezra Skaggs, and Elias Garvin. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Whitt & Sons Funeral Home in Sandy Hook.
