Myrtle Elliott

Mrytle Elliott age 77 of Ashland, Kentucky formally from Elliott County, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born February 19, 1944 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky a daughter of the late Earl and Daisy Adkins Hampton. Myrtle was a Christian, her faith was strong, it helped her through the challenging trials of life. She was a fighter, a breast cancer survivor, she raised her four children on her own. She was a proud mother, never failing to mention how Chris is a social worker and Tina and Carla are nurses. Her nieces and nephews was very special to her. Her door was always open to anyone in need and she always made you feel welcome. Myrtle was meticulous, an avid decorator, she loved her flowers and could probably grow one from half a seed, there isn't enough words to describe this lady and who she was and how much she cared, she loved everyone she believed in. There are some people that come along once in every life that make an everlasting impression and our Mom was just that and her life, her care, her love will never ever be forgotten. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son; Bradley Joe Elliott, two brothers; Johnny Hampton, Leroy Hampton, two sisters; Mary Catherine Hampton, Thelma Charles. Mrytle is survived by one son; Christopher Elliott of Ashland, Kentucky, two daughters; Carla Phillips (Joe) of Ashland , Kentucky, Tina Addington of Ashland, Kentucky, one brother; James Hampton of Wellington, Kentucky, two sisters; Connie Stegall of Grayson, Kentucky, Stella Hampton of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. three grandchildren; Amy Leigh Addington, Lindsey Noelle Smith (Elijah), Noah Bradley Phillips, three great grandchildren; Christian Allen Huntsman, Levi Nathan Smith, Lucas Elijah Smith, one great grandson due to arrive in February; Baby Smith, many nieces and nephews, along with a host of family and friends whom will sadly mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Whitt & Sons Chapel with Bro. Michael Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery, in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may visit Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 12:00 noon at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers will be Ashley Penix, Gabe Markwell, Joe Phillips, Noah Phillips, Jacob Griffith, Michael Stegall.
