Deborah Ann Boggs Maggard

Deborah Ann Boggs Maggard age 61 of Sandy Hook, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 12, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Perry Len Maggard. To this union two children were born, Nathon Maggard and Nicole Maggard both of Sandy Hook. She was known as Granny to her precious grandchildren, Chesla and Emily Maggard, Hallie, Abby and Liam Mayse. Debbie is also survived by her two sisters, Jody (David) Maggard and Lisa Boggs Wright of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one brother, Robert ( Sandy) Hall of Morehead, Kentucky, her mother in-law, Lula Mae Maggard; Brothers in-law, Shannon (Marsha) Maggard, Matthew (Vanessa Gaye) Maggard, Dean ( Rebecca) Maggard) and a host of nieces and nephews that will greatly miss their Aunt Debbie, along with many other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Glenna Boggs, her brother, Donald Davis Boggs and a baby sister, Thena Lynn Boggs, her father in-law; James Floyd Maggard and sister in-law; Verna Mae Maggard. Debbie was a dedicated employee of the Little Sandy District Health Department for more than 20 years. She was a member of Concord Enterprise Baptist Church since July 22, 1969. Debbie's work here on Earth is done. She received an offer from her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, she could not refuse. It was for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen for a long time. She will be in a city fifteen hundred miles long. She prepared for this place when she was 9 years old. She took out a retirement plan that was not of this world! She would've like to ask her children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews to prepare for this appointment that will soon be required of them. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Lewis and Bro. Shannon Maggard officiating seating will be limited to half of our maximum capacity. Burial will follow in the Boggs Cemetery in Elliott County. Friends may visit after 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the service hour. Due to Covid19 activity escalating in the community we ask visitors to please wear a mask, maintain social distancing and keep visiting lines flowing
