Billy Eldridge

Billy Franklin Eldridge, age 67, of Grayson Kentucky, passed away on January 29, 2019 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland Kentucky. He was born on April 03, 1951 in Elliott County, Kentucky. Bill was the son of the late Woodrow Conley and Alice Eldridge of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Bill was a member of the Willard Masonic Lodge #626. He was also a member of Pipefitters Local #521. He attended church at Mayhew Flats. He had been a Amateur Radio Operator for many years going by call "KD4DZE" where around the globe he made long distance as well local contacts. An avid collector of antique lamps and lanterns, guns and ancient weapons and model trains a volunteer fireman for the Grayson City Dept. and City Councilman. He enjoyed making primitive brooms, and bee keeping making soap and lip balm from the wax. Dressing in costume as a pioneer re-in actor, and Shiners’ clown and his favorite was to dress like Santa Clause during the holidays for family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Johnny Ray Waggoner and Donnie Joe Waggoner (infant). And 1 sister Anna May Waggoner (infant). Bill is survived by his spouse of 50 years, Brenda Kay Laney Eldridge. He has 2 sons; Woodrow David & Missy Eldridge of Sandy Hook, and Billy Russell Eldridge of Grayson, Kentucky. 2 daughters; Teresa & Gary Baker of Catlettsburg, Kentucky and Elaina Dawn Malone of Grayson, Kentucky. He has 2 brothers; Ronnie Jay & Gina Waggoner of Sandy Hook, Kentucky and Randy Jean & Tina Waggoner of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. 4 sisters; Roma Faye Simmons, Wanda Kay Wagoner, Joyce Gay Plybon and Brenda Sue Waggoner, all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Bill has 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also, he has a host of extended family and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 03, 2019 in the Chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, Kentucky with Brother Dwayne Laney officiating. Friends may visit 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 02, 2019 with Masonic Rites conducted by Willard Masonic Lodge #626 at 7:00 p.m.
