Benny "Ben" Rowe

Ben Rowe, age 69, of Elliott County passed away November 09, 2021 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. Ben was born June 16, 1952 to the late Richard Rowe and Pearl Rowe Barnett of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. He was also proceded in death by three brothers; Jack Rowe, James "Bud" Rowe, and Richard "Dick" Rowe, one sister, Donna Rowe, all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and one grandson, Seth Stevens of Elk Fork, Kentucky. Ben is survived by his loving wife Linda Rowe, two sisters; Sue Walters of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kay (Gary) Harbie of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, one son; Benjamin (Ashley) Rowe of Lima, Ohio, three daughters; Benjie Rowe (Kevin Turner) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Misty (Allen) Stevens of Elk Fork, Kentucky, and Rebecca (Rodney) Gilliam of Isonville, Kentucky, two step-daughters; Sarah (Brandon) Crose of Morehead, Kentucky, and Bridget Keeton of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, nine grandchildren; Shelby Adkins, Wade Cox, Bella Gilliam, Katey Gilliam, Brookie Stevens, Bentley Ferguson, Benett Rowe, Landyn Rowe, and Noah Crose, two great-grandchildren; Rylan Jenkins and Anna Downey, and a host of nieces and nephews. Ben took immense pride working in his garage, Rowe's Tires and Services, for many years. You could find him there, like clockwork, six days a week, ready and able to help all who would stop by. He loved his work, and he loved spending his days there until finally retiring in 2019. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends who deserve a special mention, Darrell Smith, Jerry Bennett, and Billy Moore. Ben was a dearly loved man, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at Whitt & Sons Chapel with Bro. Larry Dale Ison and Bro. Rodney Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Thursday, November 11, 2021 after 6:00 p.m. at Whitt & Sons Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. on Friday until the service hour. Serving as Pallbearers; Rodney Gilliam, Allen Stevens, Wade Cox, Jerry Bennett, Ryan Howard, Aaron Howard, Mike Copley, Billy Moore.
