Elsie Irene Manning Ferguson

Elsie Irene Manning Ferguson age 86 of Crestview Blvd, Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 30, 1930 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of Roy L. and Hazel Blevins Wright. She was a former employee of Farley's Restaurant, Clete's Grocery, Discount Drug Mart and served as cashier at IGA for Code Greene and Peter Thompson. Irene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking and she loved holidays. She worked hard to raise her two daughters and always wanted to provide for her family and those in need. She helped a lot of people, family or not and had a heart full of love for everyone. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Berlin Manning and Willis Ferguson; five brothers, Gene Wright, Bill Ed Wright, Everett Wright, Bobby Wright and Elvie Wright; one granddaughter, Belinda Jo Helwig Duncan; one brother-in-law, Donnie Coffey; one son-in-law, David Thompson; one grandson-in-law, Austin Ison. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Lena and Bill Delong and Katie Thompson all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Della Wright of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Belve Jarrells of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Ithel and Clyde Ison of Franklin, Ohio, Joyce Coffey of Painstville, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Etta Wright of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one son-in-law, Donnie Helwig of Grayson, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Krishna (Mark) Horton, Erica (Royce) Collett, Tara (Brandon) Griffith, Jill (Michael) Copley, Whitney (Scott) Moore; twelve great grandchildren, Cameron (Thea) Griffith, Brayden and Blake Collett, Kaleb Wipert, Ethan and Skylar Copley, Mckenzie, Mason, and Maverick Moore, Harper and Ian Griffith, Jaden Ison; one great great grandchild, Braxton Griffith. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home with Brother Kendall Brainard officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may visit after 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday until the service hour at the funeral home. Royce Collett, Brandon Griffith, Michael Copley, Scott Moore, Mark Horton, Cameron Griffith and David Wright will serve as pallbearers. Clyde Ison, Belve Jarrells, Roger Wright, Bill Delong and her many nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
